Spreadsheets

I learned some new things about spreadsheets. Before the last class, I did not know how to put formulas in and do calculations with excel. I was able to make an interactive worksheet assignment that I could use for future lessons. I listed gods and goddesses from Greek mythology and left a space for students to supply their Roman equivalent. Everything worked pretty well and I believe I will utilize excel for my future history lessons.

Continuing my journey through technology

I have learned so much more since my last post. Wikis are easy to use. I-movie is really fun to use. With just a few pictures I created something awesome. Inspiration software, I've found, is a useful classroom tool. I created an Inspiration map for a potential U.S. History lesson in no time. I'm mostly surprised at how easy everything has been so far and I am pretty excited to learn more. Bring it on!

The First Blog

I never knew just how easy blogging could be. Just a few clicks will allow me to share my thoughts online. I am enjoying my IT 486 class, it is opening my eyes to a lot of new concepts. I thought I was fairly computer savvy coming into the class, but I am discovering blogs, wikis, and all kinds of awesomeness. I will keep you posted with my new discoveries as I make them!
